Goran Strbac is a Professor of Energy Systems, with extensive experience in advanced modelling and analysis of operation, planning, security and economics of energy systems. He led the development of novel advanced analysis approaches and methodologies that have been extensively used to inform industry, governments and regulatory bodies about the role and value of emerging new technologies and systems in supporting cost effective evolution to smart low carbon energy future. He is currently Director of the joint Imperial-Tsinghua Research Centre on Intelligent Power and Energy Systems, Leading Author in IPCC WG 3, Member of OFGEM RIIO-2 Challenging Group, Member of the UK Smart System Forum, Member of the European Technology and Innovation Platform for Smart Networks for the Energy Transition, and Member of the Joint EU Programme in Energy Systems Integration of the European Energy Research Alliance. João Manuel R. S. Tavares graduated in Mechanical Engineering at the Universidade do Porto, Portugal in 1992. Abramov Valery Vasilyevich - Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Advisor to the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences, Academician of the Academy of Quality Problems, Honorary Worker of Higher Professional Education, author of more than 300 scientific papers and inventions, many of which have been implemented in industry. Currently, he works as a professor in the Department of Mechanization, Automation and Robotics of Construction at the Moscow State University of Civil Engineering. After graduating (1965) from the Faculty of Aviation Technologies of the Moscow Aviation Technological Institute with a degree in Metallurgy and Welding Technology, he worked in the system of aviation, medical and electronic instrumentation. In 1971, he defended his PhD thesis, and in 1990, his doctoral dissertation in two specialties. His first scientific publications and inventions were made in 1965-1968 and are related to the research, development and implementation in industry of low-temperature methods for obtaining permanent connections of dissimilar crystalline materials (hard magnetic materials with soft magnetic materials, metals with inorganic dielectrics, etc. while preserving the original electrophysical properties and geometry of products), based on the use of ultradispersed media arising from the decomposition of crystalline organometallic salts (formates, oxalates), thereby laying the foundations for the use of nanoparticles in technological processes. All his creative engineering and scientific activities were and remain related to the theory and technology of contact interaction of crystalline materials in the solid state under deformation and thermal deformation effects on them, the development on this basis of new technologies and methods for studying metals and alloys of the origin and propagation of submicrocracks in the metal of welded structures. He is the author of the method for calculating microstresses of the second kind, which makes it possible to explain the mechanism of relay transmission of deformation from grain to grain and the origin of submicrocracks; developed a mechanical-physical-chemical theory of hardening during contact interaction of materials in a solid state.

Dr. Sheikh Islam is the Head of Engineering at University of Staffordshire, bringing over 13 years of experience in academia and industry to his role. Koen Bertels has been a Professor in Quantum Computer Architecture with the University of Porto, Porto, Portugal and the University of Leuven, Leuven, Belgium, for three years. He works on computer engineering aspects of realizing a quantum accelerator investigating the challenges of system design and architecture. She was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Bosphorus University between the years 2011-2017. Mohammed H. Alhaag is an assistant Professor with the Industrial Engineering Department of Mustaqbal University, Saudi Arabia. He holds the B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Taiz University, in 2010, M.S. degrees in Human Factor Engineering from King Saud University, Saudi Arabia, in 2016, and the PhD degree in Human factor Engineering and Safety from King Saud University, Saudi Arabia, in 20122. Dr Shaomin Wu is Professor of Business/Applied Statistics at Kent Business School, University of Kent, UK. His research interests include Business Data Analysis, Reliability Mathematics, Applied Stochastic Processes.
