Professor Hong Hocheng has advised more than 60 Master and 20 PhD theses and published more than 175 journal papers and 40 patents in the area of manufacturing. His research interest lies in innovative manufacturing processes and recycling. He has been the principal investigator of more than 50 projects related to simulation/design of nontraditional machining, machining of composite materials, micro/nano-fabrication, reliability analysis of MEMS devices, and reclaim metals from industrial waste.

Giovanni Maria Carlomagno is Emeritus Professor of the University of Naples Federico II. He acted as member of the Board of Trustees, Dean of the Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering Schools of University of Naples. Member and Chairman of von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics Technical Advisory Committee. Member of the Executive Committee of the International Council of Aeronautical Sciences. Fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science. Member of the Editorial Board of more than 20 International Scientific Journals. Author of some 450 scientific papers and of more than 15 industrial patents. Author, Editor or Co-editor of some 30 books. Recipient of several scientific Awards. Honorary Fellow of the International Council of Aeronautical Sciences. Honorary Member of the QIRT (Quantitative InfraRed Thermography) Council, Honorary Member of FLUCOME.

Dr. Gordon Huang is a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Energy and Environment, and Executive Director of the Institute for Energy, Environment and Sustainable Communities at the University of Regina, Canada. He holds BSC from Peking University (China), MSc from Simon Fraser University (Canada) and PhD from McMaster University (Canada). Since the 1990s, Huang has led or been involved in over 100 environment-related research projects, produced over 600 peer-refereed international journal papers, and supervised over 100 Master/PhD students. He is the president of the International Society for Environmental Information Sciences. He has also served the United Nations as an international expert in the field of risk management for drinking water safety. The integrated simulation, optimization and risk assessment techniques which he proposed have been used by peers in studying water resources and environmental systems in a number of countries.

Dr Xing-Gang Yan received the B.Sc. Degree from Shaanxi Normal University, in 1985, the M.Sc. Degree from Qufu Normal University in 1991, and the Ph.D. Degree of Engineering from Northeastern University, China in 1997. Currently, he is Associate Professor of Control Engineering at the University of Kent, United Kingdom. He worked as a Research Fellow/Research Associate in the Northwestern Polytechnical University, and the University of Hong Kong, China, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and the University of Leicester, United Kingdom. He was a Lecturer in Qingdao University, China from 1991 to 1994. He is an IEEE member, IET member, HEA Fellow and a Charted Engineer. He received the Best Application Paper Award of ASian Control Conference (ASCC) in Fukuoka, Japan in 2019, and the Outstanding Editor-in-Chief from Bilingual Publishing Group in 2022. He serves as the member of the Editorial Board of several engineering journals including IET Control Theory and Applications, Journal of Franklin Institute, Complexity and Energies etc., and the member of TPC for a number of international conferences. He has published three books, six invited book chapters and over 200 referred papers in the area of control engineering. His research interests including sliding mode control, decentralised control, fault detection and isolation, and time delay systems with applications.

Prof. Tokeer Ahmad is graduated from IIT Roorkee and Ph.D. from IIT Delhi. Presently, he is full Professor at Department of Chemistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi since 2019. Prof. Ahmad has supervised 16 PhD’s, 84 postgraduates, 10 projects, published 219 research papers, one patent and three books with research citation of 9400, h-index of 57 and i10-index of 175. Prof. Ahmad is active reviewer of 199 journals, delivered 211 Invited talks, evaluated 69 external doctoral theses and presented 138 conference papers. Prof. Ahmad is the recipient of CRSI Bronze Medal, MRSI Medal, SMC Bronze Medal, ISCAS Medal, Inspired Teacher’s President of India Award, DST-DFG award, IIT Delhi Alumni Faculty Award, Distinguished Scientist Award, Dr. S. S. Deshpande National Award, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Excellence Award of Education, Teacher’s Excellence Award, Elected Member of National Academy of Sciences India and Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), UK. Prof. Ahmad has been figured in World Top 2% Scientists for consecutive five years since 2020 in both coveted lists including career long by Stanford University, USA.

Gianni D'Angelo is RTD.B at the University of Salerno, Italy. From 14 April 2021 he is qualified as Second Level University Professor for the Sector 01/B1 - Computer Science, and from 29 April 2021 as Second Level University Professor for the Sector 09/H1 - Information Processing Systems. He teaches ``Computer Networks'' and ``Computer Architecture'' at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Salerno. He taught "Fundamentals of Computer Science and Programming" at the Department of Industrial Engineering of the same University. From 2012 to 2019 he was Adjunct Professor of "Elements of Computer Science" at the Department of Law, Economics, Management and Quantitative Methods of the University of Sannio, Benevento, Italy. He obtained a Master's Degree (cum laude) in Engineering Computer Science and his PhD in Computer Science, Applied Electromagnetism and Telecommunications from the University of Salerno, Salerno, Italy, in 1998 and 2003, respectively. His research interests concern the development and implementation of intelligence-based algorithms Artificial, Deep Learning and Machine Learning for the discovery of knowledge in the context of BIG DATA and implemented for high performance machines - HPC, and Parallel Computing He has gained experience in the world of pattern recognition, neural networks, fuzzy logic, ANFIS systems , genetic and evolutionary algorithms, and parallel programming applied in various scientific and industrial fields. He is the author of numerous articles published in international journals, books and conferences and is currently a reviewer, editorial board and guest editor for several international journals.

João Manuel R. S. Tavares graduated in Mechanical Engineering at the Universidade do Porto, Portugal in 1992. He also earned his M.Sc. degree and Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Universidade do Porto in 1995 and 2001, and attained his Habilitation in Mechanical Engineering in 2015 from the same University. He is a senior researcher at the Instituto de Ciência e Inovação em Engenharia Mecânica e Engenharia Industrial (INEGI) and a Full Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering (DEMec) of the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP). He has been the Head of DEMec since June 2023. João Tavares is co-editor of more than 80 books, co-author of more than 50 book chapters, 650 articles in international and national journals and conferences, and 3 international and 3 national patents. He has been a committee member of several international and national journals and conferences, is co-founder and co-editor of the book series “Lecture Notes in Computational Vision and Biomechanics” published by Springer, founder and Editor-in-Chief of the journal “Computer Methods in Biomechanics and Biomedical Engineering: Imaging & Visualization” published by Taylor & Francis, Editor-in-Chief of the journal “Computer Methods in Biomechanics and Biomedical Engineering” published by Taylor & Francis, and co-founder and co-chair of the international conference series: International Symposium on Computational Modeling of Objects Presented in Images, ECCOMAS Thematic Conference on Computational Vision and Medical Image Processing, International Conference on Computational and Experimental Biomedical Sciences and International Conference on Biodental Engineering. Additionally, he has been (co-)supervisor of several MSc and PhD theses and supervisor of several post-doc projects and has participated in many scientific projects both as a researcher and as scientific coordinator. His main research areas include computational vision, medical imaging, biomechanics, biomedical engineering, and new product development.

Raul D. Campilho was born in 1979. In 2003 he graduated in mechanical engineering at Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP), Porto, Portugal. He completed his M.S. degree in 2006 and his Ph.D. in 2009, both in Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP), Porto, Portugal. Campilho currently serves as an Assistant Professor at ISEP and at Universidade Lusófona do Porto (ULP), where he teaches in the areas of mechanical engineering and industrial management. He is an active researcher in the fields of numerical modeling, finite element methods, cohesive zone models for fracture behavior, and adhesive joint design.
